The portraits above are examples of the master craftsmanship April Johnson holds. These portraits can be made for many reasons; gifts to friends/family, a pet who crossed the rainbow bridge, the genuine love for the dog, senior dogs, etc.
The portraiture medium is acrylic and or oil hand-rendered mixed media fine art on canvas. The artist will send a layout proof and once approved, they will create your special portrait. Please allow a few days for proofs to be sent by AKCShop.

Commendations: April Johnson is now living in the serene mountains of Western North Carolina. She has dual BFA degrees, one in fine arts from Kent State University and the other a fine art photography degree from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. After 20+ years as a professional photographer she has rediscovered her passion of creating hand rendered mixed media art work. She has an undeniable passion for animals and humans, capturing and celebrating them with her portraiture.
