How to Participate in the 2026 AKC FIT DOG Star-Spangled Scurry – 4 Easy Steps!

Step 1: Register by purchasing your medal
Sign up with a $20 registration fee (completed through your purchase of the 3" Star-Spangled Scurry medal).

Step 2: Start moving (June 15 – August 15, 2026)
Walk or run 5K (3.1 miles) with your dog, all at once or split into multiple sessions.

Step 3: Choose your own route
Complete your 5K anywhere you and your dog enjoy being active, whether that's your neighborhood, a local park, a hiking trail, or with your AKC FIT DOG club.

Step 4: Celebrate your accomplishment
Proudly show off your medal and share your achievement on social media using #AKCStarSpangledScurry!
